Japanese children with a wagon, "Imitating the Procession to the Temple", from _Child-Life In Japan and Japanese Child Stories_, 1909. Written by Mrs. M Chaplin Ayrton, and edited William Elliot Griffis, L.H.D. "Illustrated by Japanese Artists". From Project Gutenberg E-book.
I’ve been trying to find pictures of things with wheels that aren’t bicycles, motorcycles, or cars. I think these last few images I have been doing pretty well. I just had to think about what sorts of things had wheels. I thought of a wagon and when I did, I remembered this image from an old book about children in Japan.
It is called Child-Life in Japan and Japanese Child Stories, by Mrs. M. Chaplin Ayrton and edited by William Eliot Griffis. It was illustrated by “Japanese Artists” (unfortunately, that is all the recognition they get) and was published in 1909. I found it on Project Gutenberg.
